USB Happy Kid 4 Port Hub and Card Holder |
| |
The name of this gadget certainly fits- this is one happy looking hub. This happy kid has four USB ports for limbs and can hold a business card or a note with his head. He costs just $10, which is a pretty good deal for this amount of happiness. I typically pay $1 for every 28 HU’s (happiness units) at my local market. Just looking at this guy, I’d say he’s packing at least 400 HU’s in that smile. According to product description, it’s “Cute and considerate design for life”.

Canon 5D Mark II Camera USB Flash Drive |
| |
A seller on eBay is selling Canon EOS 5D Mark II Cameras for around $100. So you’re probably asking, what’s the catch? Why would they be selling a $3000 camera for such a cheap price? Because it’s not a camera! It’s a Canon EOS 5D Mark II SHAPED USB flash drive. This drive can hold 4 GB of data and was originally released for the Hong Kong Canon Club.
So $100 is a lot for a 4GB drive but the level of detail and craftmanship on this looks to be pretty good. It looks like a high quality miniature Canon. I suspect that the sellers are hoping that a buyer thinks it’s really a camera and not just a realistic looking tiny reproduction flash drive.

USB Turtle Hub Has a Secret |
| |
This cute little turtle is a four port USB hub. He also has a secret. No he’s not a teenage mutant ninja hero in a halfshell. He’s a stash turtle:
Stash your paperclips, tic-tacs, coinage, jimmy hats, or other fun tiny items inside his shell. Just don’t make him into soup. I’m assuming it’s a male here as the manufacturer has not provided any photos of the underside of the turtle to see what’s under his shell, if you know what I mean. He/She’s $14.

USB Cupwarmer Hub and Clock |
| |
Clearly the hot trend in technology today is desktop convergence. As more and more devices become available in USB-powered versions you will then need more and more USB ports and hubs. The more USB devices you can hook up on your desk, the better, in my opinion. You can never have enough cool gadgets and toys on your desk.
This is a useful gadget as it will keep your coffee (or tea!) cup warm as well as give you a clock and some extra USB ports to plug other junk into. Very handy in an office situation because you know as soon as you make yourself a piping hot beverage, your boss or a client is going to call you and keep you distracted for the next 25 minutes for something that could have been handled with a simple 10 second email, all the while your drink is getting cold.

Have your tape and data too with the USB Tape Holder. This combination device will hold a standard roll of tape as well as 4 USB devices. Great for the home office to save you space on your desk. The USB ports are on opposite sides of the dispenser so it’s easy to plug in all your gadgets. And you can dole out all the tape you want. It’s just $9 which is a pretty decent deal
